Robert Harris is the author of fifteen bestselling novels, starting thirty years ago with the alternative history thriller Fatherland and including most recently Act of Oblivion. He has made a particular study of ancient Rome (Pompeii, and his trilogy of novels about Cicero :Imperium, Lustrum and Dictator).
