This is a great opportunity for a budding writer to get an expert opinion on their work. Tessa Hadley taught creative writing for twenty years at Bath Spa University. She will read a short story or 50 pages of a novel and will give feedback and constructive criticism.
Tessa Hadley has published eight novels - including The Past, Late in the Day, and Free Love - and three collections of short stories. She publishes short stories regularly in the New Yorker, and reviews for the Guardian and the London Review of Books; she was awarded a Windham Campbell prize for Fiction and the Hawthornden Prize in 2016, and the Edge Hill Prize in 2018.
Terms and Conditions: Tessa will read a short story or 50 pages of a novel (approximately 20,000 words), feedback will be given in notes on the document and comments at the end.
