Tea for two with Author and Podcaster Tom Holland

Award-winning historian, author, broadcaster and podcaster Tom Holland will be an erudite and entertaining tea companion. He is a bestselling author on topics including classical and medieval history and the origins of Islam. He has created historical TV documentaries for the BBC and is a presenter of the Radio 4 series Making History. He achieved success with his first books, which were Gothic horror vampire novels, and then, with Rubicon: The Last Years of the Roman Republic, published in 2003, he moved conclusively from fiction to writing history.

He has spoken in the House of Commons about the cruelties inflicted upon the Yazidi people. He is a keen cricket fan and plays for the Authors XI team. He presents a podcast called The Rest is History with historian Dominic Sandbrook which receives a sensational 4.5 million downloads a month.
