Get your friends or book club together in London with Philippe Sands (left) and Jonathan Freedland (right) for what promises to be a memorable meeting discussing their books The Escape Artist, East West Street and The Lost Colony.

Philippe Sands KC is Professor of Law at University College London and Samuel and Judith Pisar Visiting Professor of Law at Harvard Law School. He is a practicing barrister and appears as counsel before the International Court of Justice. He is author of numerous academic books on international law. Philippe is President of English PEN and a member of the Board of the Hay Festival of Arts and Literature.

Jonathan Freedland is a journalist who writes a weekly column for the Guardian. He presents BBC Radio 4s contemporary history series The Long View. He also writes thrillers, mainly under the pseudonym Sam Bourne, and has written a play, Jews. In Their Own Words, performed this year at London’s Royal Court Theatre.
